Keeping Kids Safe at New Life
At New Life, the safety and wellbeing of every child is something we take seriously.
  • Before children even walk into a room, we’ve taken steps to create a safe and welcoming environment. Our spaces and toys are cleaned regularly, and we follow clear safety and hygiene practices across all our kids programs.
  • Every member of our kids team completes an application and interview process and holds a current Working With Children Check.
  • Our leaders receive training to ensure they are equipped to care for children in a safe, responsible and Christlike way.
From our ministry leaders to our volunteers, we are committed to providing an environment where children are known, valued and protected
Why Kids Matter So Much to Us
We believe children matter deeply to God - and so they matter deeply to us.
  • Kids aren’t just the “future church.” They are part of the church right now. They belong here. They have a place in God’s family today.
  • Our desire is to partner with parents and carers as they raise their children to know Jesus, trust Him, and grow in their faith. We see it as a privilege to support families in this important role.
  • Every New Life Kids leader is committed to caring for children with love, attentiveness and integrity, creating a space where they can feel safe, have fun, and learn about Jesus.

SAFE CHURCH MINISTRY

To build and maintain a safe environment for the children and vulnerable people in our church, we commit to ensuring that:
  • All leaders and volunteers have a Working With Children Check, Safe Ministry Check and ChildSafe training.
  • All programs are led and run in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • There are clear reporting procedures in place for leaders and parents.
